Topic: The Hideout / How much do calling cards cost? WTF? There's different cards for calling a country's phone vs. that same country's cell phone? This has to be a joke. What happens if the person has a cell phone from that country, but is in another country? What do you do then? My head is gonna explode"CVS and Rite Aid stores have begun selling Sprint pre-paid long distance calling cards, including global capability cards designed to call Mexico." Oh sweet, because we all want to call Mexico. |

Topic: The Hideout / How much do calling cards cost? Well, I need to call out of the country.. I would think there would be a difference between regular long-distance vs. international calls?I did a search and there's all these specific international calling cards.. am I really going to have to get country specific? I thought this shit was gonna be easy, do I have to go to some official calling card store? Never needed to call out of the country before, I'm lost. |

Topic: The Hideout / How much do calling cards cost? And where's the best/cheapest place to find one?CVS, gas stations..? I don't feel like driving around tomorrow trying to find one. I know nothing about calling cards, never used one, are there different kinds (in the US vs. out of the country)? |

Topic: The Hideout / Dudes who have graduated college I would say start to think about the types of things you would want to really effect in your time here. Rather than, 'how can i make a buck'... think what means you would be willing to do so? Private sector? Government? Actuarial science isn't probably too far fetched for someone with your math skills and very lucrative.I would try to take some thought on how much you want to work for others and how much you want to make something happen yourself. If you fall too heavily on the latter I would recommend getting a professional degree. MBA, JD, something higher that will allow you the type of autonomy those jobs demand. If you don't mind working your way up to middle management and risk getting replaced by a younger you, then go that route. Many do and do very well. I think ultimately when I look back at what I saw at that age I couldn't even imagine what I've learned since and that's kind of scary. If I had it to do over again I would definitely avoid taking out the debt and probably backpack Europe for a summer before making any big plans. That would be my biggest regret not traveling when I easily could've. Save up $2grand and just wander some where for a summer, will help you more than any job application or prep book. |
